Flush Mount Doors
Flush mount door kits from PLI are designed to make installation a breeze and alleviate the challenges associated with the ASME A17.1-2016 code requirement for residential elevator doors.
One thing that sets these doors apart is the fact that there is no external plate that will be visible from the landing side once installed allowing these doors to blend in with the rest of your home.
Our door kits come complete with a 1 3/4″ solid core door slab installed in a flush mount wooden door jamb and are complete with hinges, ball catch and a pull ring.
The door is custom routered and a metal reinforcing box is installed and ready for the door lock keeper to be mounted saving a tremendous amount of time typically spent modifying traditional doors in the field.
These door kits fit industry standard rough opening dimensions that framers, carpenters and builders are accustomed to. When properly installed, the back of door to face of elevator shaft is no more than 3/4″ to comply with the latest ASME A17.1-2016 requirements. It is important to note that not all states have adopted the latest ASME A17.1-2016 requirements so you you will need to check with your local jurisdiction to ensure compliance.
